On US Merchant Statement Mailed 4/1/08
Following
increases by Visa, MasterCard and Discover effective April 2008, you
may see an increase to your discount rate and surcharge pricing. Also,
Visa has announced a new International Service Assessment fee directly
assessed to cross border transactions in connection with variances in
currency conversions. This fee will appear as a new line item for
international transactions beginning with your April 2008 merchant
statement. In addition to existing MasterCard cross border fees,
MasterCard's U.S. Acquirer Support fee will now appear as a separate
line item for international transactions beginning with your April 2008
statement. The U.S. Acquirer Support fee is assessed by MasterCard in
connection with their cost of processing non-U.S. transactions.
Visa also announced that, effective April 2008, Debit Network fees for
Interlink Supermarket will increase from $0.24 per transaction to $0.25
per transaction and there will no longer be a maximum per transaction
fee for Interlink Debit Network Retail transactions.

Effective April 1, 2008, the following debit networks will modify their price structures as follows:
Alaska Option will increase their transaction fee to $0.26 per transaction.
Jeannie
Debit Network will increase retail transactions to $0.20 + 0.75% per
transaction, Quick Service Restaurant transactions to $0.17 per
transaction, and Supermarket transactions to $0.28 per transaction.

The
Shazam and ACCEL debit networks have announced several changes to their
respective debit network pricing structures. The changed fees are
listed below:
Shazam – Effective January 1, 2008
Quick Service Restaurant merchants will be billed 1.00% + $0.09 per
transaction. Certain small ticket retailers will be billed 1.00% +
$0.09 per transaction for transactions that are $10.00 or less and
0.75% + $0.24 per transaction for transactions above $10.00.
A new category for petroleum merchants has been added. Petroleum
merchants will be billed 0.65% + $0.16 per transaction. Grocery
merchants will be billed $0.25 per transaction. All other retail
transactions will be billed 0.75% + $0.24 per transaction.
A maximum fee of $0.69 per transaction is applicable to all Shazam
transactions except grocery transactions, which, as noted, are billed a
flat fee of $0.25 per transaction.
ACCEL – Effective February 1, 2008
Quick
Service Restaurant merchants will be billed 1.25% + $0.06 per
transaction with a maximum fee of $0.48 per transaction. Grocery
merchants will be billed $0.25 per transaction.
All other ACCEL transactions will continue to be billed at 0.65% +
$0.15 per transaction with a new maximum of $0.63 per transaction.

MasterCard
and Maestro have announced increases to fees assessed on cross border
transactions effective January 2008. These fees will
continue to show up as a separate line item on your merchant statement
and be passed through to you with no mark up. In
addition, the following increases by MasterCard to certain
international interchange categories, also effective January
2008, some merchants may see certain additional international
transactions subject to non-qualified surcharges.
