Global Payments Europe provides POS acquirers with transaction processing services and transaction data capture.
This service is traditionally offered in conjunction with maintenance of the POS terminals network but the acquirer can use it also in countries where Global Payments Europe does not cover repair / maintenance of the POS terminals network.

How it works?
- At implementation the acquirer and Global Payments Europe conduct a feasibility study, which summarizes required POS functionality, currently used types of POS terminals, communication options and future network developments.
- Based on the feasibility study results, the communication method and means are designed, installed and tested.
- Migration plan is developed and executed.
- Licensing issues are administered; possible back-office processing is projected
- Technical support is contracted, either with Global Payments Europe or third party.
- Furthermore, malfunction alerts communication is set-up between Global Payments Europe and the technical support provider.
- If needed, POS software is updated for communication with Global Payments Europe's authorization system and for extension of required functions.
- In operations, Global Payments Europe processes authorization requests and captures the transaction data. Based on the processing set-up, the data are settled in Global Payments Europe CMS back-office system or transferred to the acquirer.
- Non-banking transactions are handled as agreed with third parties e.g. mobile operators or marketing partners.
