How it works?
Issuing
At implementation the issuer selects its preferred mode of operation.
- Batch mode - This mode is recommended for large portfolios and enables effective sharing of information between Global Payments Europe and issuer's systems
- Remote terminal access - This mode is recommended for smaller portfolios, which do not require high-capacity batch interface. However, this access is the preferred mode for dealing with emergency entries, information look-up, and disputed transactions handling
- Combined mode - Batch + remote terminal. Brings together the benefits of both modes.
Acquiring
At implementation the acquirer selects its preferred mode of operation.
- Batch mode - Data between Global Payments Europe and the acquirer are exchanged in batch mode utilizing Global Payments Europe's data file formats. These formats will be made available to the acquirer prior to operations. This mode is recommended for large portfolios and enables effective sharing of information between Global Payments Europe and acquirer's systems e.g. internet/phone banking systems, data warehouses, customer information files etc.
- Remote terminal access - Acquirer may access the full service functionality by a secured remote link to Global Payments Europe back-office systems. This mode is recommended for smaller portfolios, which do not require high-capacity batch interface. However, this access is the preferred mode for dealing with emergency entries, information look-up, and disputed transactions handling.
- Combined mode - Batch + remote terminal. Brings together the benefits of both modes.
