The award-winning new solution supports a major advance in security and a step-change in the ease of PCI DSS compliance for merchants who take in-store transactions. It has also become the first end-to-end encryption card payment solution to achieve Payment Application Data Security Standard (PA-DSS) approval. |

February 2009 - HSBC Merchant Services received the ‘Best Security or Anti-Fraud Development’ Award at the prestigious 2009 Card Awards. This was the second year in succession that HSBC Merchant Services has been recognised for its successful focus on fraud reduction. The award was presented to HSBC Merchant Services for its Merchant Staff Defalcation Monitoring programme. This programme helps customers identify internal staff defalcation and serial refunds. The level of analysis provided is not, it is believed, available anywhere else in the UK and Irish card payment industry as a fraud prevention tool. |
