Atlanta and Hong Kong Thursday September 8th 2005 - Global Payments Inc. (NYSE: GPN), a leading provider of electronic transaction processing solutions, announced today it has agreed to form a joint venture with The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited to provide payment processing services to merchants in the Asia-Pacific region.

The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation is the founding member of the HSBC Group, one of the largest financial services institutions in the world, with assets of approximately US$1,467 billion and over 9,700 offices in 77 countries and territories. In the Asia-Pacific region, the bank has payment processing operations in ten countries and territories to be included in the joint venture, which are Brunei, the Hong Kong SAR (Special Administrative Region), India, the Macau SAR, mainland China, Malaysia, Maldives, Singapore, Sri Lanka and Taiwan.   

“We are thrilled that HSBC, one of the world’s most respected financial institutions, has agreed to partner with Global Payments in the Asia-Pacific region,” said Chairman, President, and Chief Executive Officer of Global Payments, Paul R. Garcia.  “This region has incredible growth opportunities for credit and debit card payment processing, especially in mainland China and India.  This strategic transaction heralds a promising new chapter in our company’s history,” continued Garcia.

“HSBC is excited about this unique opportunity to join forces with Global Payments,” said Michael Smith, President and Chief Executive Officer of The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation.  “The joint venture will have the combined benefit of HSBC’s large and extensive footprint in the region as well as Global Payments’ technological expertise. We believe this is a powerful combination,” added Smith.

Under the terms of the agreement, and pending regulatory approvals and customary closing conditions, Global Payments will pay HSBC US$67.2 million in cash to acquire a 56 percent ownership interest in the joint venture. HSBC will control the remaining 44 percent and will contribute its existing Asia-Pacific merchant acquiring channel in ten countries and territories to the joint venture. In addition, the bank has agreed to a ten-year marketing alliance in which HSBC will refer new merchant customers to the joint venture for payment processing services in ten Asia-Pacific countries and territories.

Atlanta, Prague Wednesday August 31th 2005 - Global Payments Inc. (NYSE:GPN), a world leader in electronic transaction processing solutions, today announced that Global Payments Europe - MUZO, Global Payments' Prague-based, majority-owned subsidiary, has recently opened a new office in Moscow. Global Payments already has experience from Russian market, for example providing credit card issuing services to the second largest provider of consumer credit in Russian Federation. Stanislav Coufal was appointed Chief Executive Officer for Global Payments Russia.

Atlanta, Prague Wednesday August 17th 2005 - Global Payments Inc. today announced that its majority-owned subsidiary, MUZO, a.s., has executed an agreement with Diners Club to provide card personalization services in the Czech Republic. Currently, MUZO already provides card transaction processing and authorizing services for Diners Club in the Czech Republic.

Atlanta, GA USA and Prague, Czech Republic, August 4th 2005 - Global Payments Inc. (NYSE:GPN), a world leader in electronic transaction processing solutions, today announced that MUZO, a.s., Global Payments' Prague-based, majority-owned subsidiary, has executed an agreement with BAWAG Bank to provide credit card issuing services including card management, card personalization, PIN printing and distribution, as well as card statement printing and distribution in the Czech Republic. MUZO will also provide credit card authorization services for BAWAG Bank's Czech Republic customers.

Prague, Tuesday June 21st, 2005 - Global Payments Europe - MUZO announced that the Shareholders' Meeting held today in Prague has recalled member of the board Milada Aksmanova and has named Renata Smutna as a new member of the board.

Prague, Monday May 9th, 2005 - Global Payments Europe - MUZO announced today that the company was chosen by CSOB bank (from KBC Bank Group) as the provider of authorization services on the Slovakian market. The pilot operation of Slovak ATMs and POS terminals of CSOB was launched in the Prague Global Payments Europe authorization center.

Prague, Friday May 6th, 2005 - Global Payments Europe - MUZO announced today that it has successfully and in time completed all activities related to the migration of MasterCard clearing centre for European card transactions processing from Waterloo to the American clearing center of association located in St. Louis. On May 5th 2005 has MasterCard finished operations of the European clearing system ECCSS which has been replaced by American system GCMS.

Prague, Wednesday April 27th, 2005 - Global Payments Europe – MUZO has announced that on May 1st, 2005 between 1AM to 7AM will take place planned shutdown of the company authorization center. During the shutdown upgrade of the technological systems will be completed.

Prague, Wednesday April 20th, 2005 - Global Payments Europe - MUZO altogether with SID/SOLUS credit bureau announced that the Register of corporate bodies was launched today with Global Payments Europe playing role of technical services provider.

Prague, Thursday March 14th, 2005 - Global Payments Europe - MUZO has introduced its new corporate identity to the existing and potential clients during the Global Payments Days, which were organized in Prague on April 8th, 2004 for the Czech Republic and in Bratislava on April 13th, 2004 for Slovakia.

Prague, Friday March 4th, 2005 - Global Payments Europe - MUZO announced today that it has put into operation the first ATM in the Czech Republic for acquiring of EMV cards.

Prague, Friday February 25th, 2005 - Global Payments Europe - MUZO announced today that is has successfully completed the first year as a technical services provider for the SID/SOLUS credit bureau. Register of individuals started its operation in February 2004, now it is used by 10 financial institutions. They have sent over 900 thousands requests concerning individual clients during the first year.
